BANNED BOOK WEEK #1 - TBR

"Censorship is the child of fear and the father of ignorance.” - Laurie Halse Anderson

So it's Banned Book Week, what is banned book week you ask? Banned Book Week is a week long celebration of the book and highlighting the absurdity of censorship, promoting true freedom in reading, created by the Banned Books Coalition. The 'Banned Books Week Coalition was started in 1982 and is promoted by the American Library Association and Amnesty international to "[stress] the importance of ensuring the availability of those unorthodox or unpopular viewpoints to all who wish to read them".

In celebration of Banned Book Week I will be writing a weeks worth of blog posts centred around banned, censored or challenged books, starting with my proposed TBR list; I used this Wikipedia article for reference to create my list. To anyone else joing in with BBW, good luck!
